8872 HSE students from grades 7-12 were anonymously surveyed measuring hope for the future, engagement with school and wellbeing. 37% feel stuck or hopeless, 35% are not engaged and 30% lack well-being. *2013 Gallup Survey
It costs YMI approximately $500 to place a student into one of our mentor programs for one school year. YMI mentors keep their mentees on track to graduate. The State of Indiana has calculated the cost of high school drop outs on the economy. State of Indiana Education Roundtable (www.in.gov)
