A quick story from a YMI mentor-
My mentee of two years was not social and had problems in school. He felt “he didn’t fit in”, isolated himself and did not have any ideas for his future. Today he shared a few things. He is involved in a few activities at school, has friends and is looking forward to a goal orientated future. The school administrator acknowledged “he has made great progress in this past year”.
I take no credit for any of this other than listening, suggesting, sharing my experiences and encouragement, something not always present in the family. He is on the right track!!

“We won’t know whose lives we touched and made better for having cared, because actions can have unforeseen ramifications. What’s important is that you do care and you do act.” – Charlotte Lunsford
